Size of Glock 35

Is the Glock 35 the same size at the Glock 17?

I ask because I had ordered a holster for my Glock 17 and now they say they do not have the one I asked for but they have another model for a Glock 35?

would my 17 fit?

I believe the glock 35 has a longer slide, and I think your referring to the glock 34 (17 & 34 are in 9mm). The slide is just shy of 1" longer IIRC

The 17 will fit with room to spare. The 35 is 5.3" barrel and your 17 is 4.5" barrel. You will have a long holster.

thus, should I pass on this holster they are offering me in place of the one I wanted?
does this extra room mean that the gun will slide around inside the holster?

It should not slide around, the freame is exactly the same size, only the slide and barrel are longer on the 35, if its a Kydex or other synthetic, it should lock on the frame.

Or just go buy an Uncle Mike's kydex for $22, they fit the Glock 17 well and are a bargain.

I don't know about you... but that sounds like a pretty darn good excuse to buy a 35 in the futur! Not only can the pistol share magazines, they can also share the holster
