Good day everyone. I recently purchased a Beretta 1301 mod 2 with the intent of adding the SGA MAGPUL stock and a couple sling mounts, specifically a receiver sling mount. Everything was going to plan until I tried to attach the magpul receiver sling mount (angled version) along with the SJ hardware stock adapter. The problem is the adapter has a wide collar which sticks past the stock where it meets said adapter and receiver. This virtually renders my sling mount useless unless I buy a different adapter. Now I have to be extra careful because I'm not sure if the other adapters work with the sling mounts. GGG has a decent looking one but it also looks to widen near the receiver which will also impede my sling mount. If I were to do it again, I'd get a mossberg adapter because they look much more flush for adding in the magpul sling. I just thought this to be useful information to anyone looking to use a similar configuration.

Looks like I will be getting a machinist to mill out some material to make this work for me. I'm open to any suggestions that are budget friendly.

I don't think any of thr 1301 adaptors were made, with the intent of using the magpul sling plate.
The magpul sling plate was designed for single point sling set up in 1l4 inch bbl or shorter shotguns.
The shoulder on our adaptor is used to support the magpul stock to make sure it does not twist off under stress, as the SGA is a 3pc clamshell design, not 1pc molded design
I would not use a single point set up on a gun that's almost 40 inch long

There are some flush adaptors and the mossberg versions seem to be a bit more flush with the receiver. I really wanted to try a 2 point sling mount with one being near the receiver. You make a valid point regarding the collar and I love the idea of less chance of twisting the stock. I hope you don't take my original post as a knock on SJ, I just wanted to share my experience with the product for anyone looking to configure their beretta similar to me.
