SK Gopher Gurus

Heading over to the Swift Current area next month and would like to find an area that is overrun. Glad to lend a hand to the local farmers in helping to erradicate the population or at least put a good dent in it for a couple of days. Curious of any CGN'rs have any suggestions as to areas.

Pretty much anywhere around Swift Current will have tons of gophers for you. Just ask for permission. When we did so we were warmly received by the landowners.

Pontiex, Hazenmore,Mankota area has been 'gopher central' for the last few years, just drive into any yard and ask if you can shoot some gophers, if they don't have any gophers they will point you in the right direction.

My son and I were in Mankota Easter Sunday and Monday a couple of weeks ago and shot 1500 gophers. Gopherxs lined us up. We had a fantastic time. We can't wait to get back there again !

Also try Cadilac and Kincade.Evidently the bar in Cadilac has an ajoining gun cleaning room!!!!

That's not Hoppes your smelling...It's the local moonshine, but they smell and taste alike, and both can be used to clean your gun.
