I finally got around to trying the SK Long Range in my Vudoo today. Plus 3 and light breeze, and best 100m group .460".

I hope that was at 100!
Here's one of the first targets my wife shot with a new B14R - I've since dropped a Jewell HVR in that rifle for her and she's doing considerably better than that now.
100 shots Long Range - 50 metres outdoors, variable breeze, no wind flags, 38 degrees C in the shade.

My new Vudoo should be here shortly - Hope it does OK with LR as it has been doing well for me in a number of rim fires.

I was shooting at 100m. I neglected to mention that in my first post, because the targets were labeled 100m, but have added that clarification.

what or were is SK Longe Range ?
Is 100 yards considered long range....or do you shoot farther. ? thanks

Depends on the game you want to play... NRL22 and related games go to 100yds/m

CRPS, BCPRL and KTSA matches go to at least 300m.. occasionally out to 450yds... and there are thoughts to go further for side ELR matches

SO... what is long range will depend.

I started with a clean barrel, so I fired four groups at 50m to foul the barrel, and the last couple were well under 1/4", pretty much one oversized hole. Then I fired two groups at 100m, and some other people showed up at the range, and I quit for the day. Once it warms up more I will go out on a calm day , and see if I can do better.

When I was learning small bore 3P, our coach had us at the range at dawn when the air was stillest.

Are you shooting scope or irons? Off your elbows? From the repetitiveness, I'm guessing scope off a good rest.

Scope and rest. Unfortunately, my present range has time restrictions due to the location. My previous range had none, so I often did my testing at 6am.

You must work for someone who won't pass quick and easy judgement.

The groups pictured look no better than typical of what we get with the same ammo in a 22" Voodoo and 24" RimX at 100 in light conditions.

I doubt the targets are cherry picked.

As there are only two targets shown in the review of SK Long Range ammo, we can't know how they were chosen.

It's not to cast aspersions to note that more evidence is better than less. For example, five groups of five shots each that are well under 1" would be much more convincing corroboration of the ammo's performance, that those results are, as you said, "no better than typical" for this ammo. If the SK Long Range is in fact that good, there's no reason to be reluctant to show persuasive evidence of what the ammo can do.
