SK Whitetail

You boys should move a little north we've been at it for a while:D Just came back from a mulie doe hunt down south and man oh man were there a pile of white tails running around and some real nice bucks too. They were definitely out for love.

Good luck boys. I'm down to my last tag and maybe there might be a set of horns in the north for me.

Driving home tonight from east of Stoon there was a very, very, nice buck chasing does. For those of you in the area try the Aberdeen grid north of #5. That pasture to the east will be holding some good bucks and by the one I saw tonight the rut is on.

Lots of does and small bucks so far during muzzle loading season, rifle starts tomorrow and I'm thinking the big 'uns will be out!

Best o' luck. I can't hit the field til Friday.

No matter what, this season has been a success for us. Antelope in bow season for me and a nice white tail buck with the bow for my hunting partner a week apart.

Looking forward to some fun.

Looking forward to chasing whitetails. Snake eyes for the last two years, but got drawn for mulies this year, and used all my tags. Finished up with an oddball buck yesterday, so I'm off to a good start for 2010. Just have to decide what rifle to use. Feeling a bit cocky, so either a Ruger #1, or my sxs 20 gauge slug gun.

This is the first openning morning I can remember where I'm not out hunting. I tagged a 162" with a muzzle loader in early October and decided coming back to Calgary to make it to classes would trump "guiding" for friends and family back home.

We sent a whole bunch of whitetails and a couple mulies across the border to SK last week, from Manitoba.
You can keep the mules, just send the remainder of the hunted white tails back to manitoba....:)

Why does RIFLE season start so late in Sask? In BC rifle is open from sept 9th-end of november for both White and Mule.

Howcome?

Archery and muzzle loader open early but Rifle is later to make sure farmers aren't still out in the fields. At least that was what I have been told.

Plus it only takes one to three days to fill all your tags :D
I walk out my front door:p

been open here a week now...

nice ownin yer own land ain't it :D

I cut my alfalfa late this year cuzz of rain so my usual sweet spot isn't as sweet as usual...

Have to go to the 1/4 of hills a 1/2mi south I guess...watched a couple good ones out there 2 nights ago.
