THEY ARE GREAT SHOTGUNS!!

Esp the 20ga, 25" bbls and IC/M chokes. I had one and traded it for a LNIB Browning O/U.

I soon regreted that trade.

Well, snagged it! 12ga, 26" bbl, ejectors, fixed IC/M, coin finished reciever, unfired and in excellent+ condition. Looks like it's been sitting in a safe for a very long time. Will nicely team up with the SKB 500 20ga o/u that I picked up some months ago :)

Pics required, of course.

Will see if I can upload a couple of images tonight.......

Here are some images ....haven't had an opportunity to clean the firearm yet...simply gave it dry rag prior to the photo session......not too good at taking photos either

Also, further edited to correct an oversight....should actually read 12ga :)

I owned an Ithaca/SKB 500 in 20ga, 3" gun. Very nice firearm! Sold it many years ago to a friend of my fathers, saw it last year and it sure looked a lot nicer after all the years that have gone by.....

Remove the stock and see if there are cracks inside. If there are cracks get a gunsmith to repair them before you encounter greater trouble. I am talking from personal experience.

Best wishes

Further to my posts earlier, would it be discreet to use mostly lighter loads (read AA Target for example) in this firearm in view of the fact that SKB stocks MAY have a tendency to form cracks (not sure how valid this rumour may be)?

Also curious, are SKBs perhaps more over rated Stateside cause the one shown in the link could well be a twin (condition wise) to the one that I recently acquired, only difference being mine is 26" bbl, IC/M......I paid half that amount CDN+tax :p
