Beretta Boy, thanks yet again for sharing your experience and observations. The closest I've come to handling a Model 21 was that Model 23 at Cabelas. LOL!

The 23s were quite a decent SxS, and as far as I could tell without putting them "side by side" (sorry !) , very much like the Classic Double side by sides manufactured for a short time later. Still distant from the orginal Model 21's however.
Over the years, I've had the oportunity to shoot a bunch ... everything from the Stevens 311 to H&H Royals & Purdey "bests".
My "holy grail" would be an an original A.H. Fox XE or DE grade or even the current Galazan-built version . The H&H's are very nice, but well outside my snack bracket.
For the money, I have been quite impresed with the Parker Reroductions that pop up on the used market from time to time. They are finished very nicely and function just
as well as the originals ... for a fraction of the original's cost, grade & condition being equal.
