Skb Model 200e black receiver question

Hi

Would someone be kind enough to tell me if when you hold only the receiver (barrel and forearm off) in your hand and push the top lever to the right, should it stay in a locked position or you have to hold it in place. I know on my over & under the top lever stays locked and it has a release button to let it go back to the center.

They do not stay in the locked position.

Some doubles do. I have one that does. When you close the gun, the barrels push a pin in the face of the receiver that allows the lever to move back. Cannot speak to an SKB.
