Skeet in the Fog

I've been to The Grand twice, both times in Vandalia, Ohio, shot a total of 6 events and been to the shoot-offs under the lights twice. Once for the Singles Championship event(1987/88th Grand) and one for the Preliminary Handicap Championship(1999/100th Grand). At the 100th I had to shoot off against Leo Harrison III. We were tied with 6 other shooters with 96's shooting for 6th to 10th place. I ended 10th, there was over 5000 entries that day and first place went to a lone 98!

Being in a shoot off with Leo is an incredible experience---not many shooters have done that, even fewer beat Leo.
Are you headed to Sparta this year, now that we can drive across the border?

I've no interest in going to Sparta. Unless you own a motorhome or camper it's a royal pita. The closest amenities are 90 minutes away. Lots of shooters have to travel 2-3 hours each way from motels to shoot. It is a great facility but a in horrible location. Vandalia was awesome! There was so much in the immediate area within minutes of the club groundsZ. Wright-Patterson was only 15 mins away too!
