From his website's bulletin's page;

4th April, 2007—
New 'Lee-Enfield' chapters include 'Serial Number & Production Ranges', 'Component Parts Evolution' and 'Hybrids'. The new Australian International Arms Ltd. range of Lee-Enfield rifles are also detailed at length, along with an article in the new 'Collector' annual.

There has been some disinformation regarding the new AIA Lee-Enfields which should be better understood after reading the above. Two essential questions can be answered here though.
1. AIA rifles are not made in Vietnam, however hardwood for the stocks has come from Laos, New Guinea, West Africa, South America and the US, some of which was profiled in Vietnam.
2. Rifles are generally assembled in Australia from outsourced components; SE Asia (including Vietnam), North America and Australia. Country of origin of components varies, depending upon the model and wood furniture used. These questions are raised on Steve Redgwell's .303 website. This is an ideal site for those interested in shooting their Lee-Enfields... go to www.303British.com

$250 would be excessive, but from what I hear, most of the photos will be color in the new edition and it's already out for printing. It should be a good book.

I understood the new version will be about $75.00 US, but could be wrong. Maybe the limited edition slipcased version will be $250.00

From his bulletin board;

Printing of the 'Hayes Handgun Omnibus' and final, expanded 'Lee-Enfield' has taken longer than hoped... both c.600 pages with colour. Eta is likely in May, along with 'Collector' #25. Presentation copies of each (300 of HH, 303 of L-E) are deluxeP slip cased. Sorry we can't take advance orders but release dates in Australia, North America, England & Europe will be posted here. An Australian promotion is planned at the Lithgow Small Arms Museum in July with a display of Ron's sectionised pistols, rifles & MGs on hand. Current book orders are being handled by staff in Oz & Oregon. E-mail any specific enquiries... we can regularly check e-mail in Bangkok.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to buy it, I have exactly zero Enfield books...time to pony up I guess...:redface:

Edited to add, if it's $75 US no problemo...I had heard it was much more.
