Skilled pistoleer?

I think Bill Jordan lost the title of pistoleer after he shot his partner in the gut. He was showing how fast he was. Bryan Marino shure was a good shooter i dont think you were to bad ether PH.

Some days it feels more like: :runaway:

I suppose you could consider the average IPSC participant skilled if he was able to place his shots on target.

skilled = GM or M in USPSA

Some of you have a very f*cked up definition of skilled. What you're describing is closer to something I'd consider "highly skilled", which differs from moderately skilled and other in-betweeners.

I suppose that would fit with the thread starter's request, though. :)

Or we just have higher standards, I would considere a GM to be "highly skilled" and an M to be skilled.

Here is a good quote off the Enos forum "A USPSA B shooter has godlike capabilities with a pistol compared to the general shooting public like you meet at typical plinking ranges and most LEO are not excluded here. The truth is that most folks who have/carry guns can't really shoot them very well. We are a small inlet in a sea of gun owners"

A skilled pistol shooter IMHO..is someone who's survived on a two way range.
All the IPSC or IDPA skills in the world go out the window when your target is shooting back at you.

I agree, even without trying to manipulate a firearm, having bullets go past you will affect your command of a situation.

gentlemen (and ladies?) thank you for your responses. It has been interesting reading them. I am always interested in what others of our community think. All responses are welcome. I was just curious if there was a concesus on the subject....

Hit the target while getting choked out? :D
