Skinner peep sights on marlin 1894

I put a Lyman globe sight (#17) on my Marlin 1894 when I installed the Skinner aperture sight on the receiver.

It has interchangeable inserts so you can tailor the sight picture for the game you play.

I did the same on mine. It's 10x better than the original sight for me, sight picture wise.

I don't remember whether the original front sight works well on the 1894's, but when I had a Skinner on my 1895 guide gun the factory front sight was way to low to be useful.

Chris.

Only way to know for sure is to shoot with the new rear sight.
Order one of his front sights at the same time. Order a taller one than your original front sight.
If it works with the factory sight, great.
If not Install the skinner front sight and file it down to the correct POI.
If you dont like the square top Patridge style sight at least you will know the hight you need.
