Skinner Sights

Did you have a look at Skinner's site? When I looked for a receiver mounted peep sight for my Bl-22 their answer was "it may or may not require a taller front sight".
The barrel mounted peep sight might have a better chance of lining up with the stock front...but that wasn't what I wanted.
Tagged for future interest....

Yup - I looked the whole site over a couple of times. A receiver mounted sight is a great idea and the quality is not in question. However - I think a 1/2" or more tall front sight with no sight hood would look a bit bubba. I'll keep digging.

Which sight are you looking at? The reciever mount? It will undoubtedly require removing your front sight hood. Thats what I did on my guide gun and it looks fine to me. Also have a look at his barrel mounted sight, it may let you keep your front sight blade/hood.

I have many Skinner Black Gold peeps and brass blades on my Henry levers and H&R Handi's... with My Henry Frontiers I have the receiver mounted dovetail peep and Lyman 17AUG (0.584") front globe sights... I also bought a set of "Lee Shaver Globe Inserts" which is an aperture card for the Lyman 17. My Skinners are barrel mounted on my Golden Boys and I tapped in the Skinner 0.6" brass blades into the dovetail slot and filed to proper height... very little filing required. For my H&R's I D&T'd Marbles dovetail ramps up front and tapped in Skinner 3/8" base dovetail blades that are 1/2" high... height worked out perfectly. My NDS-38 Ghost ring peeps required Williams 0.634" one-piece Fire Sight blades.
