Haven't you got that backwards:eek:
head down to skin is the old caveman style,
the modern efficient way to skin is head up so the legs are facing down, the direction your pulling the hide off! :rolleyes:

Course when all the facilities you have is a single skinning & hanging area then I can understand why a lazy person would do it that way:p
 
Next deer I shoot I am going to make a SKIN BACKBACK out of the hide to haul the meat out of the bush. After shooting my buck yesterday in knee deep snow and having to pack it out on my back in 2 trips I decided there has to be a better way. I think I came up with one last night while laying in bed resting my sore body. Should be able to carry a whole deer and your rifle, all you need is a rope and a knife.
