So far ,I have the 1950 and 1951 out of the box and wiped off . I have just taken them down to the bolt out to check the bores and look around a bit ,still in a cast till monday so already doing more than docs orders after that they are coming apart and goodby cosmo!!
The 1951 has no spring on the firing pin as expected ,very nice bore ,stock is birch as I requested and has some dings on it.There are no refurb marks on the stock or carrier cover but I do believe it was refurbed, but just a light one I would assume .The tula star and date on the stock are a bit faint so I figure it was sanded a bit or maybe from the factory? The Bayo is a very shiny one I like it but it just barely latches in the closed position ,I can hear the blade hit metal in there somewhere I will find out when I completely disasemble it. She locks nice when open I do not see any refurb marks anywhere on her. I checked the sticky to be sure of what I am looking for.
The 1950 is also hardwood with a few scratches and dings but nice, fantastic bore and spring loaded firing pin definitly refurb,,marks are there but again not on stock shiny bayo too locks up nice.
There was no cleaning kit in the tube of either one. The tube or muzzel protector was there but nothing in them, westrifle I am sue will make that right!
Pics to follow.
Does anyone know how to tell if you have a chrome or non-chrome barrel?
Cheers Bob
