SKS 2017 price check

Seems to be the going rate. "Refurb unissued" describes most of what is on the market. Refurbished but not issued after refurbishment. It's a generic refurb description. Like "supergrade" whatever that means. Or "hand selected". Meaningless sales terms that make the buyer think they're getting something special.
Yep, my local CTC just got in 10 of them and I looked at 4, they call them supergrade and to them it means non refurb and numbers matching, well, 3 out of the 4 were non refurb, a bit rough especially around the muzzle where the muzzle protector goes when cleaning! They were all matching so met their description( actually north sylvas) of what a super grade is. The fourth one was a refurb and I pointed that out to them. These will be posted for sale at $350.!!!! Needless to say,I will not be buying any of the super duper grade!

For those of you thinking of getting an sks from CTC, there will be a promo on the 20th of April where, every time you spend $200 or more you get a CTC card for $50. ,,, birch stock sks are $199. Now at my CTC and I have 4 put aside! You just make seperate purchases for every sks and get $50 back plus if you have a CTC card you get extra cash! Each sks will be about $145 plus tax!!!
I am not sure if the promo is local or country wide for the $50 promo card!

Newest prices at Cbls 239.99,- on-line laminate, probably Molots. Hardwood 259.99,- ... comes with free shipping.

ya easter weekend sale.. and the rifles I looked through were pretty poor quality at that (I didnt even buy one). but shooters all the same.

And when we say "all matching", does that include mag serial? Do those actually exist? My 51 Tula is un-refurbed, and numbered matching with the exception of the mag. Kinda disappointing really.

My 51 Tula is unissued unrefurbished, all matching but with f..ng franken pin.

I've seen a "Super Grade" with a chrome lined bore, ammo pouch and sling in a hardwood stock for $340 at a place in Ajax. It was cosmo'd to hell but in good shape, all matching numbers too.

sks prices seem to be in the 250-275 area, at least in my neck of the woods last time i checked. It has been said before...buy em now fella's...they ain't getting any cheaper!

250 out the door is fair price. Any more than that... I dunno.

All this 'supergrade' mumbo jumbo is just a term used to part you from a few more dollars. It's an old SKS. If it's not rusty and all the parts are there then you got yourself a shooter.

True collectible status is another situation, and be prepared to pay handsomely for a proper SKS-D
