MFS is a German company. They import the rounds from Hungary, not Russia.

They're not bad value and work extremely well out of the SKS. No real difference in accuracy compared to the surplus stuff, but they are non-corrosive... which is a good thing if you're not into cleaning your guns after shooting.
 
Barnaul makes stuff cheaper than Hungary now this is why MFS buys it. Plus Barnaul is on approved Navcan list. Hungarian product is not.

my girlfriend seen the same show. so i bought her a mossberg 500 rolling thunder for her b-day in jan. it has the ar-15 folding stock on it. she bought me a sks for my b-day last oct. now she wants one to. got to love girls that like guns:rockOn:.
i can get surpuls ammo here in campbell river b.c. for 225 a case. it makes for cheap shooting when there are two gun nuts in the house. does windex work for cleaning the gun before you can get it home?
 
SO I guess windshield washer fluid will work,cheaper,!
Anyone know what happened to the canadian flag icon,I kinda liked that one.
Yea barefut,I was thinking the 500 or there is a maverick 88 on sale at badgers for $209. not sure what the diff is,would like to be able to get extra barrels later.

Sorry have to correct you MFS ammunition are made by Barnaul Russia not Hungary.Check stamp and you will see.
 
2nd Mosin & ammo

Got Mosin #2 today from tradeexcanada.com
very nice got an ammo & rifle deal basically free shipping which is great.They also dug through all their rifles and got me a 1925 hex reciever that I requested.My dads birth date.Thought I would have the rifle mean something.Now just to get another sks with 1955,year I was born.gonna build a trough and line it with plastic to dunk the rifles (without stock ) into a safe Varsol like cleaner that I have from Princess auto.That should get the process started.For $179. delivered ,this is a very nice rifle.First Mosin was from westrifle.com and was $125 delivered round reciever very nice.
Packaging from tradeex was better but both arrived in excellent condition.
