SKS and left handed shooter?

all of my casings fly well forward, unless its just steel casings have a magical property that does this..... although Im pretty sure steel doesnt (Ive only shot surplus)

Only gun we lefts usually have problems with shooting are RH bolt rifles and a few semi autos (brass facials) that eject more backwards then sideways but that is why the made shooting glasses. So invest in a good pair of them and fly at er and Remington, Winchester, CZ, Browning, Tikka, Ruger and a few others I can't think of make left hand bolts. Have fun. I've cleaned Mr. Friendlies SKS twice now and still I've yet to get to take it out shooting to try it out. Annoyed about that I am :D

Cheers CK

I shot my brothers SKS this past weekend, but I'm not afraid of brass to begin with. ***EDIT*** Interestingly enough, thats my brother posting 13 minutes ahead and directly above me!

The only akward thing was the forward / back safety on the right side of the gun, designed to be flipped with the trigger finger.

I found myself either holding the gun with left hand and bringing my right back to disengage it, then put my right hand back to shoot, or going under the trigger guard with my left and flicking it with my index finger.

Hardly an issue, but a little trickier for a lefty.

Yep, it's fine!

Lefty as well, owned Chinese and Rom. SKS, no problem.
In fact, aside from bullpup, I have never had any problem with any rifle I used (bolt, semi, auto, army stuff, ...).

No sweat, I am a lefty and shoot ambi, you will have no problem shooting left unless you use steel cased ammo and have a magnetic steel plate in your skull!! ;0) Your problem will be 1. Only buying one sks
2. finding enough money to buy the crates of ammo you will want to shoot through these fun guns!!

Might as well ask here, M-305 for a lefty?

SKS, CZ858, and M305 all eject the cases up and to the right (I own all 3, so I say that with absolute accuracy), so a lefty shooting those rifles should have no problems with brass in the face.

Leftys will have no problems with any of the above-mentioned rifles. As I said, I own all 3.
