SKS and Mosins at Canadian Tire in Windsor ON

Good news from Windsor. For the first time they have military rifles. The SKS are crap, black painted, cheap , bad, refurbisment at 199$. I heard that the the last
shipment of SKS from overseas does not look nice.

I find you really have to dig through the crap to find the good ones at CT, whether they are SKS or Mosin Nagant.

My wife works at CT and she was telling me that the latest stuff is nowhere near the quality that they had recently. I got a grade 1 rifle. The latest stuff is supposed to be grade 3 or 4. They're not even coming to the stores in crates. Plain brown boxes. Glad I got mine when I did.

CT in Windsor

The sport's Manager showed me how the last batch of sks's were shipped. Two rifles per cardboard box, loose left to bang around into each other during shipping. The stocks on the ones I saw were heavily damaged and gouged from each others bolts. I guess since somehow there is now a premium on the crates this is what to expect. On the good side, I got a nice svt 40 a couple months back (paid with CT points) which was quite nice once the cosmo was cleaned off. Bye the way, I felt all warm and fuzzy inside carrying that rifle out to my car (no box, no bag,no trigger lock).
