SKS aperture sights: Raveneye vs Tech Sights

Shot both TechSight & RavenEye on SKS. Both are good with different feel to it, but where it changed my experience was shooting in less than ideal light conditions (AKA lower light condition). TechSight was good in bright day light but it being so close to the eye, could not see anything when light condition is less than ideal.
RavenEye was different experience under low light condition. I could still see clearly and most importantly was able to repeatedly hit
the same spot. In general, RavenEye helps me to see better and helps me to shoot better. Actually with RavenEye I could carve out
X10 from Zeroing target. Was never been able to do the same with TechSight.
By the way, kept skinny front sight from TechSight and running RavenEye at the back combo. Punching a 1cm (1/2 inch) hole at bullseye while zeroing. Surprised myself and neighbours at the range.

Hi,
I don't feel attacked at all.

I also agree with you that things could better. A lot better. We may (or not) disagree what should change, but I respect whatever differences may exist.

What bothers me is when people talk like we live under a tyrannical regime. What really angers me is when people act as though there is no hope of change through democratic means. And what I find absolutely disgusting is when people advocate for change through violent means.

Cheers,
Neil

tyranny starts somewhere you do not see it yet ... and i ve seen in other countries what you cannot even imagine. it is always a starting point. pretending not seeing it doesnt mean it will not happen ...

We have a great peep sight as well, faster sight acquisition, larger design matches the front sight ring, impossible to misalign your sights, we have them for the CZ as well...... HERE.

Sights by Bubba. . .

I cut a slot in the receiver cover and brazed in half of a Lee Enffield rear L sight. Elevation and wind zeroed on the front sight. works perfectly.

I like that idea better than something to 'replace' the rear sight. I can shoot 2-3" with the OEM rear sight, so prob not a great diff, but never say never. I painted the rear sight white w/yellow hi-liter, filed down the front post and painted the ring & tip white too. Makes for quick acquisition. I think I'll just JB something onto the cover like G's to see if it helps me, then make it perm if so.
