I recently put my SKS into a Tapco stock. The stock did not have a cut in it for the bayonet.

I removed the bayonet, but is there any way i can remove the lug on the barrel?

I punched the pin out, but the lug seems solidly attached to the barrel.

If not its no big deal. just makes makes the gun look ugly.

thanks!

Drift it off with a press or a big hammer. The bayolug is part of the front sight assembly, should be two pins to drift out in order to remove. Could always use a hacksaw... I would leave it there.
