sks / bc tactical / red dot / shell deflector?

Hey folks. Just been reading a bit about the sks launching the spent brass violently and hitting optics and such.

My set up is a vortex sparc. It's held zero for *many* rounds, but I have noticed some nicks from the spent brass hitting it.

I know I can do the "ejection port" mod on the rifle - but I'm not exactly clear on how to do this with out more research.

My question is this:

Can I install a shell defelctor on the sks that is compatible with the bc tactical mount and red dot?

Should be able to. Id still recommend the ejection port mod it works very well. Ill post a a link to a thread that explains it fairly well once I find it.
