I wonder what could be achieved with a match grade barrel, rather than a surplus machinegun barrel?

No telling... But I'm sure this barrel is about as true as it can be. The issue at this point is going to be reaching the speed it wants without popping primers etc. Even after the ogive reduction, I can only seat to the lands with 150g plus which isn't going to help in the fps department before over pressurizing.
