I bought a supergrade 1950 russian sks, and the only refurb mark I see is on the stock (laminated). It does not have a bbq pain finish, it seems to be the original blueing. The bayonet has the same finish. The story I got on this is that the first bayos were spikes like the mosin nagants and they were blued. Then they moved to blade type, and kept the blued ones for like a year and then changed to metal finish. They most likely kept the blued bayos aside amd when they assembled the supergrades (wich are skss that were never assembled in the first place), they put these different bayos on them so they can be identified clearly.

Anyone got another explication or heard something different about those blued bayos?

The story you got was just that, a story.

Blade bayonets were only blued during refurbishment. Laminated stocks were only used in 1958 for production. "Supergrade" is a made up marketing term.

Check out the SKS stickies in the Red Rifles section.
