yup to my understanding they are no "illegal", meaning, if you have one, it is classed as restricted and it may be used a range, but you may not sell it, nor may anyone who does'nt have one purchase one. I've checked this site out too, pretty cool kit, but according to other posts i've seen, sgworks keeps pushing the ship dates out on production anyway.

I live for this. Bullpup stocks are prohib.
Bullpups are not illegal.
What is prohibited is the making of a conventional action firearm into a bullpup. This is due to the fact that any bullpups that can operate seperate of the chassis or frame are prohibited, thus Steyr AUGs are prohibited by type. Ergo an SKS bullpup conversion is prohibited due to the action being able to operate seperate from the frame, but an extant bullpup that cannot operate independant of the frame ie. an IMI TAVOR is not.

I thought prohib means you can shoot them at all? I've a friend who is a range officer at the local club, an dI'm pretty sure he can shoot it there. but I've been wrong before.
Depends upon the prohib cert the firearm falls under.

No it'd still be illegal since you're using a bullpup on a rifle that was originally not bull pup.
Theoretically however if you designed and built a bullpup that used the same operating principles as the SKS but was incomparable completely parts wise with the SKS, then it could be classed as a new firearm and be legal.
