SKS Bullpup

Even a right handed shooter is going to get peppered with bits of burned powder. You can get that sometimes shooting the sks as it is configured now, that thing while kinda neat looking is the Devil in disguise... (I am a Southpaw)

It's not in disguise at all, that's just pain and suffering in a neat little package.

Very cool.

I think with one of those flip up style optic rails that would look even more badass.
Too bad putting an SKS in a different piece of wood makes it an evil baby killing, puppy stabbing machine in Canada.

So true and so sad really.

That's right, if it came in a bullpup setup then it's a-ok, but you can't take a standard gun and turn it into a bullpup. That's illegal in Canada as I understand it too.

That statement is not entirely correct. If it was designed as a bullpup it is legal. However you can never at any point convert a "standard" firearm into bullpup configuration. An SKS is an SKS and was never designed to be a bullpup. Unless a brand new bullpup receiver was manufactured for the SKS (thereby rendering it NOT an SKS); then regardless of modification an SKS would always still be an SKS without exception.
