sks bullpup

why the barrel is over 20 inches
and overall length is over 26 inches
so why is it prohibited?

because that is how the law is written. If you ever figure out the logic behind why our firearms laws are written the way they are be sure to let the rest of us know. Do a search using bullpup and read all the interesting threads...

By the way, because you started another bullpup thread two weeks after the last one....

I heard the kits are prohib because the action by law, cannot be operational unless it is in the bullpup stock and the sks action is because it will work in its original config.- so I guess it can't be convertible. Anyone out there hear the same or similar?

Google is your friend:

Former Prohibited Weapons Order, No. 9

1. Any electrical or mechanical device that is designed or adapted to operate the trigger mechanism of a semi-automatic firearm for the purpose of causing the firearm to discharge cartridges in rapid succession.

2. Any rifle, shotgun or carbine stock of the type known as the “bull-pup” design, being a stock that, when combined with a firearm, reduces the overall length of the firearm such that a substantial part of the reloading action or the magazine-well is located behind the trigger of the firearm when it is held in the normal firing position.

Would some kindly mod please sticky this?
