Just wondering if those cheap surplus chinese chest rigs fit north americans worth a damn ?
Or if you have any other good ideas for carrying stripper clips feel free to let me know.
Thanks

I’ve got one of those, 9 pockets for two stripper clips each plus a pocket for an oil bottle and cleaning supplies. I’m a 32 waist so I’ll on the slimmer side and there’s loads of slack in the waist ties. It’s not necessarily the speediest task getting a strip out of a pocket (kind of depends on the fold in the fabric of that pocket) and sometimes a round will fall/slide out of the clip, but it holds a lot quite compactly. If you had good slips with good tension in them and practiced a bit with storing and removing them I’m sure that would help with those issues.

Just a side-note - I use a camera bag (like to carry a point-n-shoot) that holds a dozen or so loaded stripper clips. It has belt loops and a shoulder strap, and has Less Bulk than those vests. And I have a Tapco/Tula with 6 ducks that I keep in a Medium-size bag that also accepts 3-20 packs and an OEM mag 'modded' to removable function in a side pocket. IF you can find OEMs at a reasonable price, they're handier than ducks and cheaper (so far LGS is about $30). Just takes a bit of grinding to make 'removable' - vids on YT.

Strike hard Gear out of the US makes stripper clip pouches for the SKS. I have owned a few of them in the past, great gear, well made product.

I have been on the hunt for the Strike Hard stripper clip pouch, but it has been out of stock for months, and he seems to be winding down operations. The chicom chest rigs work well, but would like some molle pouches to attach to my web-gear.

You can buy hook/loop strips to attach to anything - I use heavy-weight thread to sew them onto pouches.

I have a Chinese chest rig. Fits fine but I have rounds come loose from the clip when removing from the rig.

You need to replace those chargers. The material they're made from wasn't intended to be reused several times.

I find they run just fine until they don't. The little retention springs get weak with use. Some are better than others.

All the clips are Czech only used once.

So re-bend the ends. I have OEM Russian and Czech clips that have seen many re-runs and springy-ness can be restored many times. Now I have Tapco which can take clips if you 'open' the carrier slot a bit to allow the proper angle to be achieved.
