SKS cleaning rod w/o bayo

How do you guys keep the cleaning rod from falling out, if the bayo and all is removed?

Saw this done on Werner Herzog's Happy People: a year on the Taiga film, but not sure how this is done.

Uh, just take it out and stash it away with the bayonet.

Pretty sure that you can put a nut inside the stock at the end of the cleaning rod channel,if the rifle have its original stock ofc.
