SKS Clip Block

If this is continually happening , just a thought , and this may be out in left field . but if these pins keep coming out like i keep reading , would it be possible to file an amendment to have the sks grouped into the same capacity as the garand and lee enfield .

would they consider this if the pins keep coming out ?

The Feds will amend the pinning of the SKS before that happens. Likely the next step will be poured steel into the mag.

What needs to be done is to have the pin rule removed all together and no one will have to worry about it anymore.

Yes, this is what I have wanted to do all along! :D

I can't believe that this is any less permanent then putting a rivet into the magazine. Because with a few simple tools ( a cordless drill and a 1/8" drill bit ) a rivet is easily removed or even the frankenpin is easily removable without tools all you have to do is shoot the rifle a couple hundred times.:p

Go to your local hardware store, grab about 3 bucks worth of parts, some permanent Locktite, and your good to go. locktite, lock washer, a few flat washers, and a nylock nut as well and it's pinned to 5 again, and can't take it apart, unless your going to get tools out. Plugged the hole and pinned back to 5, what more can you ask for.

sorry about quality of pics, holding the rifle and the camera at the same time, really don't work, but you get the idea.

^yes nice job, idk if I can get those nice pan head allen bolts lol, but it looks very nice.

LOL....I wasn't going for looks, I just wanted to make sure it was pinned, didn't hold more than 5, and it covered up the drain hole that was left when the franken pin fell out.....

Home Depot, has the pan head allen bolts, I will assume there is one of those just about every where, well almost everywhere.....

And it is relatively flat on the outside of the mag as well, just a slight difference, I was going to use a carriage bolt, but it protruded out more, and no way of holding it, to tighten everything up. that and I wasn't going to bother and weld back the old pin, just to have it fall out again.

If theire is a bet, mine is on the sks becoming prohibited by name before...
(everyone know the reason... )
