look at some collections of ars and benchrest guns those are cool and sks is 200 bucks tops most are 150 cant shoot worth crap
im not saying they arent worth owning cuz i got one and i shoot it but 10? who cares
the aks are cool though
 
OK, I'm going to reveal my ignorance. The four on the right have longer stocks and handguards. What are they?
 
Well daniellybbert some people actually appreciate these guns. Just because you are an ar lover doesn't mean that you have to go around bashing other types of guns.

umm, what? Norincos, maybe. But some of the hard-to-find varieties fetch a lot more. Even those M59/66's are probably worth $400 or a bit more, and they're relatively easy to find these days
 
4 Albanians! check out simonov.net for more info on 'em, in addition to the longer handguard, they have an AK style charging hook, instead of the standard ball. God I want one.

I have grown to like SKSs since I first got one. Have not shot it much yet but it is a nice rifle to handle. Simple to maintain too.

Gun snobs will always come (strangely) to bash the SKS for some reason. Must be a commie thing :rolleyes:
 
That is a nice collection! I have never seen 4 Albanians in one photo, the go for pretty decent coin in the US. I wonder why no one ever imported the Albanian SKS up here?

One SKS I would love to get is a Polish SKS parade rifle, saw a picture in the paper (Corpus Christi day in Poland) and wow, that was one beautiful piece of kit. Nobody does a laminated stock like the Poles do...
 
I was watching the CBC documentary on Russia the other day and the first thing my eyes locked onto were the SKS that the Russian Guard where marching with. :)

I'd love to check out a Polish SKS.
