SKS D conversion

The two major downsides with the D's is that many parts are often not interchangeable due to varying specs between factories, and not just by a few thou of an inch. Russian sks are usually plug 'n play. The other issue is they are notoriously finicky with their mags. Some rock in perfectly, others don't fit. And that's with the original steel mags, don't get me started on the plastic ones. And this is with factory original D's. I can't imagine that newly converted ones will be any better. I used to own a dozen of them once. Now I own none. That should tell you all something. Wink, wink, nudge nudge.

i had a collection of 4, dont have any now but not for the same reason as you. i out smarten myself when i thought the prices couldnt go any higher, wrong. i wish i still have them now cos it looks like the prices for the original "D" still gonna keep climbing.

Oh I made good profits on my Ds when I sold them, for once. Usually I lose money when I sell guns lol!

When sks 's could be bought for $50.00 or less a piece...it was worth it...but there probably $200.00 plus wholesale now....so not worth it as much.
