You can find them ever so often in gun stores and at shows. Often they are sitting in a corner collecting dust or getting ignored by the masses. Have had good luck finding sks-d stocks missing their rifles.
Keep an eye out. You'll find one. No bayo cut, metal plate inside the mag well. The plate is 3 sided and inserted in the wood stock.

The sks-d with a blade bayo with the made by xz stamp came with a stripped clip cut bolt carrier. Sadly it doesn't lock open on the last round though. Now if one took a Type 81 mag and re-installed an original sks bolt hold open, you might get it to work haha.

Mags are heavy and cost money, stripper clips are light and come with the crate of ammo. You can throw the stripper clips away, but the mags not so much. Loading mags with stripper clips is much faster than one round at a time.

NP. BTW, meant the metal plate is inserted into the cutout in the wood and a small screw on each side of the stock holds it in place. You can see the screw in the pictures. Fasted way to spot one from a side on view from a distance.
