Just seeing if there are any compatible options for my SKS-D. I see a couple companies in the USA make wood stocks for the "D" model... Are there any factory aftermarket options?

I do like the vintage look... just curious.

I have a couple of them, I think you should leave it as is.
I don't think that they were a real quality assembly, like most SKS rifles.
So, because of the total lack of parts for them, I wouldn't take the chance of creating any issue's
The reason this model is here Is, they were banned from importation into America ,when Norinco created it to replace the banned AK47 , the ATF said it used an AK47 magazine
There aren't as many as you think here, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Europe received these when it was banned from America

I've wondered about the aftermarket stocks as well.
I tried an ATi stock but unfortunately it had no cross pin for the barrel buttress so really didn't work at all.
Looking at the Fab defense stocks but those have the mag release assembly built in so I'm thinking that stock won't work.
Seen one original sks-d original wood stock with the steel magazine well liner but at 200 bucks it was a hard pass from me LOL
I would like to get my hands on an original D stock as I want to cast a mould of it and make one in composite.
