I've received polymer rails that I'll put on my Tapco t-6 stock, including a mini laser by sog that can be used on pistols, and long guns. My initial wish was to create a firearm that was easy to disasemble without tools and keep zeroed. I haven't got that far but I am somewhere in between. I can spend all my ressources in trying to make the sks better but where should I stop
I know there are as many lovers of the tool, as there are people fed up in trying to bring them up to todays standard. There is one missing link in order to fix optics, and that is a drill&Tap scope mount...the other issues are easily controlled.
I will not give all my secrets away but I will say that Brownells can help as far as parts go, for instance I had no trouble in getting a laser sight from.
When my project is totally finished I will give a full report, in order to help others build their dream SKS
