sks d worth?

Not really an expert but saw the last few sold for $350 & up lately and went quick.

Actually there is one on the EE today asking $450 but now listed at SPF

Shooters Choice was selling them new for $199 about 4 years ago and I now wish I had bought ten of them! They should be around $200 but since they are no-longer being manufactured (Norinco is only still making the type 56) the price has skyrocketed. Seeing them sell for $450 or above is not a rarity, but you can still get lucky and find one for around the $300-$350 mark.

Timing and luck make all the difference (for either the buyer or seller). I picked up three D's for $300.00, $300.00, and $350.00 and sold the one I disliked the most. I have two different D's made entirely different (one with a spike bayo and one with a button holder in lieu of a bayo lug for the cleaning rod and no bayo). Both are in immaculate shape and came with extra mags.

If you're looking to sell yours simply move your mouse to the left over my username and drop me a line! :)

i like my "D" and had no issue.

IIRC , the "D" was selling for over $500 in the summer of 2007 , it might even peaked at $600 .

But... but... they can use AK MAGS MAN!!!

Expect to pay 400-500 for a D model. The other SKS models are more reliable though.

other versions of the SKS are easier to load 5 rounds into with stripper clips. i could see the appeal of the AK mags if we could use the unneutered 30 rounders (or even the 40 rounders that are out there). the stock on the "D" that i had could be scratched with my fingernail.

it was $125, i really wish at the time that i had ponied up the extra $75 and gotten a lee enfield in the wrap.

IMO the "D" is still a $125 rifle.

Some are good and some are not so good. And the price varies and sometimes is determined by the condition of the actual gun, and sometime by the financial state of the seller.

With the VZ858 around the "value" has dropped. The VZ is a superior machine, with great quality accessories readily available. AK mags are a bear to find as well as pricey. I would pay $150 to have one for a beater, and to torture test :D.

The CZ is a much better rifle when you get right down to it. The D has appeal, but honestly I would rather have a Russian SKS for around the same money, which like everyone else has been saying seems to be floating around the $400 mark now if it's in good shape. I've seen some rough ones go for $300 even.

I picked one up about a month and half ago from a cgn member for 200 bux....got sum mags with it as well.....hes a good guy a didnt want to gouge me....i would stil pay 300-400 for a decent one tho . The Sks -d is for the missus, maybe shell keep her hands of my M14!

All depends on condition $300 for rougher guns $400 for nicer versions having no corrosive fired through them is a bonous as well.

Some come with the bayonette lugs sheared off, this devalues them in my opinion as ell, but that is just my 2 cents.
