Sks-d

Sold the D models in 2006 so no picture. The regular models work a whole lot better than the D models do. IIRC it was 3/4 of an inch scallop cut on each side to get the drum to lock in. Take the height of the feed tower and the curvature of the drum sides into account when you start in with the sanding disc. Go slow and check often!

Did you take the stock down with the dremel I assume DAR?? Got a pic?

And what SKS owner worth their salt does not have a case at least of ammo around for the Zombiepocalypse Firemachine??

I actually do not, as I don't own any 7.62x39 guns. I was going through a big purchase phase, then work slowed right to a crawl. :(

Here's my D

I find the folder very comfortable, which is just as well as it came with it, I bought the mags separately, I don't know why I bought four, it seemed a good idea at the time. I only need one 40 rounder.

Good Job! Nice finds. I know I get a lot more satisfaction out of a good bit of horsetrading rather than just laying out the bills until I get something.

Really like that bottom Chinese... Love it when you can hot-rod the crap out of something and not feel the tiniest bit guilty ;)

So you had to sand the steel liner in the stock too then since mine is flush with the stocks bottom? Man its too bad we have a mag capacity limit of five. Even if it were ten I would be thrilled.

Yep, the liner get sanded down. Stock will look like crap when you are done but you will be able to use the 5 round drum in it. Tapco makes a D model stock, just sand that one down. I had an extra stock so when I sold my D's they went with the factory un molested stocks. I think I garbaged the modded stock as I have not seen it in years. Kasat has a picture on here of his modded D stock that works with drums.
