I've heard of that issue on any of the SKS's with detachable mags.
Some times its the gun, some times its the magazine its self. The problem is the mag latch does not fully engage over the lip of the magazine because the lip is to large..

I guess that could be true as all these rifles were built around chinese mags. This also could be due to variances when modified and AK latches welded in. The MC-5D for sure with its SKS style latch. Some people file the mags. With the 5rd limits, bigger mag doesnt matter anyway.
