Don't be sorry about the blur, be sorry about the size of your pic's. :p:D

Been a few years since I played with my sks, but if I remember correctly, since the receiver cover is under tension of the recoil spring, if you grab a hold of the cover and move it just slightly forward and move the pin at the same time, it will pull out with no problem.

Also remember that when you take apart and re- assemble your rifle, the safety must be in the "on" position.

James, the wood on that rifle is really nice. Good pick!

Mine was really tight and a pain to take apart the first time too; after that (and after a good cleaning/oiling) it loosened up and it comes apart with ease now.

Only problem I've had is during reassembly...my trigger group is a real pain in the *** to snap back in to place on the latch. Anyone had that problem?

when popping the trigger group back in first make sure the reciever is fully seated, then put your palm on the trigger guard and push it in and forward at the same time and she will pop right in

I had that problem for a little while as well, make sure your clip in in correctly and your receiver and barrel are in the stock as far as they can be. Then holding the trigger group with your thumb and the receiver with your fingers squeeeeeeze!

Thanks guys...I'll keep your advice in mind next time...:D

anyone know anyway to make the magazine easier to open? It is very rough to pull the latch back, I have oiled it with no significant results.
