yea I don't like having the bayonet on with the tapco, I'm not going to be stabbing anyone, and it just makes the barrel a little heavier, so I don't see the purpose of it. but thanks for the input and your opinion, I appreciate it.
You asked..
The SKS is done just fine right out of the box. Tacking on a bunch of plastic crap is not doing anything for it in terms of accuracy or functionality. This is a two hundred dollar rifle made for conscripts, not an AR-15.
But hey, it's your rifle.
who even shoots with surplus ammo, all I use is MFS
We shoot surplus at 16" plate at 336 yards 8/10 hits the target you must have a bad sks or we have 3 amazing ones...I am sorry but with my SKS...on a bench using a block rest shooting at 300 YARDS on a 14" steel plate...I hit it 1-3 times outta 10...with MFS ammo...on a good day. Add another 137 yards...and the hit % is gonna drop even more. CAN it hit it? Sure...but if your hitting it every 1 shot in 30...does that count? Doing so with a red dot and surplus ammo is even harder.
