Thanks! I am happy with the different look. I sanded it down to bare wood. I used black shoe polish rubbed the crap out of it and then polished the stock with a Black and Decker automotive polisher then one light coat of Minwax Wipe on Poly. I used blue paper towels to apply the poly. Then a sand and wipe on black stain over the one coat of poly. Let it dry for about 3 days, light sand to get the grain going and then 25 coats later the grain in the wood is completely filled and looks like a car clear coat. She was a lot of work but worth it. I will get better pics, maybe tomorrow. My dad is a master wood worker and does all kinds of crazy things to get different finishes......
