SKS D's are worth 600.00 now???

thats not true they do have new ones now and then they keep on cranking the price up toi bought a new one with the justwebbing and everything for 400 dollars a little over a year ago

For the record, If I had $600.00 burning a whole in my pocket I'd go for the Cz858 hands down. :)

IMHO the SKS D and it's current price fad is a total scam.
What a handful of price gouging dealers think they are worth is moot.

The laws of supply and demand work things out in the end. If it is too expensive, it won't sell.
FWIW, I thought my Yugo SKS was a better gun than my CZ858, but I got rid of both of them. To ME, no SKS is worth $600, unless perhaps it had some interesting historical link, such as belonging to Elvis or something.

I would also like to mention that Wolverine Supplies went out of their way to resolve the CZ858 issue with me. A top notch store to be certain.

Bang on.

If I could out-do that, I'd pay another $400 and pick up an AR-180B. Ever since the 10 round LAR 15 mags have become available legally there's no reason for a CZ or SKS-D, at least for me.

The modification would have to be the mag well and mag release.
so the 10 round AR pistol mags remained unmodified. :D

Hmmm time to look for a .223 SKS, or .223 barrel. :D

i think they used the 223 ak mags which are alright as for the drum mag mod thats a cake walk modding to accept AR mags would be another story

Bought mine standard sks for 150+20 for shipping

Included 40rds of surplus ammo and 20 rds of FC softtip hunting ammo, and an useless receiver scope mount I'm using as a paper weight.

It's made in 1980, and according to my dad, who served in the mid 70's, the quality is #### compared to the stuff he used.

Anyone that buys a standard sks for more than 200 is nuts.

No SKS is ever worth more than $300 unless its a rare and minty surplus gun like a museum grade Tula or Alby.

Everyone loves an SKS but there is no way it is ever worth more than 300 in any combination.

Sure a dealer can sell new for whatever they want to sell it for but you are normally getting a guarrentee or a warrenty with it. As soon as you are buying it second hand it is a used gun wether it is as new or not so dont expect new prices.

Since SKS's are so plentyful you are not going to "make money" buying and selling them. A stock SKS should sell used for between 80 and 150 bucks because new ones are 150 bucks. A "D" should sell used for between 180 and top end 300. That is all depending on condition and extras. But again just because you but an 80 dollar stock on a gun it does not mean you have jsut increased the value 80 bucks. That stock again becomes a used stock.

All stuff like this does is take advantage of younger people getting into the sport who dont know any better and some one who price gouges like that should be ashamed. If you want to sell a gun price it so it will sell. Not so that you can say "i made this much on this gun"

gavin

Hey, if you can buy an SKS-D for $180I'll buy it from you for $ 350 and if it has any extras, I'll pay extra.;)

How can you say something like that when you're selling an SKS chest rig that comes free with the gun, for $30?

Bandilier for SKS ammo, Chinese, Type as used in Vietnam and other Far East Conflicts, Excellent condition, 10 pouches to take 10 Strippers of SKS ammo. $30 plus shipping

People give those for free or include them with the package they sell. I've seen them here for $5.

Now, before you get all upset, I am not seriously questioning your price. It's your thing to sell and if to you it is worth a Brazilian dollars, it's your right to ask that for it.

I am just trying to show you what it's like to have someone get all holy on you because of what you want to sell your stuff for.
