Took my SKS out for the first time ever today, and started having issues with it. It was jamming when feeding rounds into the chamber, the front of the bullet was catching below the chamber and was pushing the bullet into the casing. Is there a mod that needs doing to fix this or will it get better the more rounds that get put through it? I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything. Awesome rifle to fire though!

I see by your other post that you have already reassembled your rifle after cleaning the cosmo out of it. Is the front tab of your fixed magazine correctly hooked on the lug underneath the barrel?

I had this problem with my rifle when i took it out shooting and gave it to my cousin to try out. He failed to seat the (detachable) magazine at the front of the duckbill as well as the rear - the mag stayed in the rifle because of the tight tolerances of the mag well and the catch at the back, but the feed path was misaligned and the rounds failed to chamber

That's weird none of my SKS have ever jammed. The only issue I had was I forced too many rounds into
the magazine (6) and the last round would stay in the magazine (I bent the lever arm in the magazine),
this one wasn't frakenpinned. I ordered a new one from Lever Arms in BC $25, and it is Frankenpinned and
now I have no issues at all. These are very reliable rifles.

Take your mag apart and check the follower if the pinning is done to the follower rather than the mag body, there may not be enough movement left resulting in the follower actually pointing down somewhat.
