is there any supplier in Canada that has these? Batting average of prices in the states seems to be around 30-40 dollars (so they cant be that rare). Im also looking for a metal handguard.

yeah, that is the story floating around down south, apparently when the VC stored their SKS underground, they found the wood stock all chewed up by bugs (termites) so the chinese made these replacement red stocks out of fiberglass .

i dont know if the story is true or not but the fact that these red stocks are so common makes me wonder for what other purpose could there be other than to replacing large number of damage stocks .

yeah but can sksman ship to canada? see thats the concern I have.
You bet, Paul is fantastic to deal with and has no problems selling to Canucks.

I wonder how the wood handled the humid heat of the jungle. Maybe similar reason to US switching the M14 to synthetic, and sticking with it for the M16? Interesting point about the termites as I'm sure that country has more than their fare share of creepy crawlys

I don't think the Jungle stocks were ever used in the
jungles of Vietnam, i have never seen any pics. of the
Viet cong or Chinese military with the sks in a jungle
stock. Some sks's with the jungle stock were exported
from the /26\ armory to the U.S. There are at least 5
different variations of the jungle stock.
I modified my jungle stock by adding a grip and cheek rest
with a higher comb (for the scope) using home made hollow
fiberglass parts.
