sks front sight

front sight on my SKS is super tight and won`t move side to side. it shoots about 4'' left at 40/50 yds or so.
have a modified C clamp but all it does is bend the clamp, the sight won't budge. any help? and please not "go get a sight tool" as i`m nowhere near anyplace that sells them. have also gently heated the sight as well, and nothing.
any tips?

Your C clamp isn't blocking the pin from pushing out the other side is it? Sometimes giving it a smack with a hammer and punch is needed to get it moving.

It is indeed, considering that it works on several different rifles.
You could have when sent out by post, could you not?

no, am just visiting here, but doing a lot of shooting. brought 500 rds out of the 1340.
got it for xmas, can't get firing pin retaining pin out either. will get that out when i get home. guess ill just have to keep compensating.
c clamp isn't blocking, made a spacer from a thin electrical nut from a cheap lamp, gives me 2 mm clearance.

got it adjusted…with a hammer. will check it tomorrow on the range. still can't adjust it with a c clamp. soaking in WD40 now

Read that you are "just visiting" .... What ? Lol if you have the time to apply and get a PAL then also go buy a rifle, I think one more week isn't a big thing for shipping the proper tool to you...

i live where you live. am at inlaws in middle of NL. will be back in ontario in a few days. might get one then. don`t get to shoot much at home
no where to get one in next few days….

heat it up with a torch, then spray it with some sort of penetrater while its hot. That should get it moving.

Buy the tapco sight tool. I paid 20 bucks for mine. It works well.
