hey im hoping some one can help me out with some info or maybe a link to a site that will work. problem is that i got an sks, not very familiar with it. made the mistake of not cocking the action before removing the trigger group. after re assembly the safety wont come off (only moves halfway down) and trigger wont work. if anyone has any tips i would really appreciate it. lesson learned: read manual before getting started!
 
Interesting. The trigger group can be removed cocked or not. Shouldn't matter. Did you disassemble the group?

Are you saying when it is ready to fire; bolt closed and hammer cocked, the safety will not disengage, hence trigger can not be pulled?
 
hey beavermeat thanks for your help man but i got it working. stupid mistake, the trigger group wasnt fully locked into the locking stud and the locking stud was interfering with the operation of the safety. as soon as i got it seated properly the safety will disengage and triggers works now. thanks again.
 
While cleaning my sks last week my safety did something similar, it stayed in the safety position and couldnt be lowered. Found this out after I completely stripped the sks and put it back together. Some how I was able to get it to work properly, but have no idea how. Maybe it had to do with taking a certain part out before another
