Recently I had the chance to shot an SKS, and it got too hot to touch just after 30-40 rounds.
Is that normal?
How hot do you let yours get?
I assumed that it is supposed to be a military rifle,
therefore being capable to handle lots of shooting.

You must have gotten a bad one from the batch. My SKS stays at a constant 7 degrees celcius around here, no matter what happens!![]()
