SKS Identity?

Hi guys,

Anyone know where this came from and approximately when? One of my SKS rifles has a triangle with a stylized 25 inside followed by a completely numerical sn: 1513621 and has a spike bayo.. Any insights would be welcome.. I'd post a pic with this showing you what I mean, but there appears to be no option for that available..
 
Type 56 Chinese SKSs are very difficult to figure out. The same factory would change it's codes like you change your sock. The 25 in the triangle would signify the factory it came from, if you knew the code. It is not an early model and that is all I can tell you. They are good though. Pictures and more data, ie, is the trigger group stamped etc will tell you more, maybe.
 
FActory /25\ is Factory 625-of which there are a few threads. After 1,000,000< 1969 ... 1,5**,***- 1970. There should be a sling mount on the side, Threaded barrel, & Mostly Milled/Machined parts/components, here's a thread of a 1,6**,*** . It seems not up to par with the /25\ of Lower #. Really, it's alla guessing/who knows really game.

..so, that woudl mean the Coveted Factory /26\ is actually '626' ..as the SAME Triangle encompasses it. How can the Triangle on the 25 be a 6, & not on the 26? 25 comes b4 26, so, this could mean/stir up some new theories!

No.

The triangle is not complete and is actually a 6 looking like a triangle.

The factory 26 has a 26 inside a complete triangle.

Read the sticky. All will become clear.

Where do you think your computer was made? Or pretty much everything you own, for that matter?

On topic, OP, you have a solid Chinese SKS that should be a fantastic little shooter for you. Buy a crate of ammo (or six) and enjoy it.
 
k, thanks, I will look up the Sticky, I found this thread initially,as I just picked up a couple Chinese, one was Mint/seems unfired/25\ & was looking into it as well. Another thread, that OP's has allot of rough/cast looking parts, where mine is really smooth throughout, etc. No rough cast parts. or well machined, took time fit/finish. Closer on par with what I've seen from /26\. as compared to the one in the link. Also in the deal I got a /636\ that Definitely has more cast parts etc. & a pinned barrel. It's still kinda kool though. It has '7.62x39' & Made in China stamped on the side of the receiver. Never saw that on any SKS b4, maybe for an export mark? I'll probably keep the cheapie, so I can Tapco etc it up, with no qualms, & I have a 56 K' Tula, no refurbs already, keeping in Original form..can't keep 3 ATM, So prob put the 25' on the EE.

Really? Who says that anyhow? lol How do you have a Trader RATING of 80 (99%) with dumb comments like that.
