Where do you think you can import 'em from? In any case, it's more about exporting from wherever you think crates of SKS' and ammo is sitting.
Our law says you can import 5,000 rounds of approved ammo(No corrosive primers. No AP. No trace. No incendiary. et al. NRCan has banned that stuff by regulation.) for personal use, without paying duty, but you can't just buy it and export in most countries without buckets of paperwork. Especially 7.62 x 39.
All the high end terrs use 7.62 x 39. Go looking for large quantities of that as an individual and you'll receive a not so friendly visit from big guys in dark glasses.
