Yes M15 Grenade launcher sight (US issue) Looks to me, like some jungle gunsmith adapted a piece of captured American equipment for this commie issue SKS.

Maybe the koreans share characters with the japanese, but beside the "2" looking thing is a japanese character. Can't quite remember what it translates to.

Although on the round piece, those are most definitely korean. I'm confused

Buy some stickers and put them on your SKS, and you can have the engraving effect too when viewed from 10 feet away or more. Kind like temporary tattoos for guns.

Those were the best SKS's I've ever seen. I hate to say it, but they were nicer than the tacticool ones.
